Events
The broad range of events and activities available at the Regatta Centre are converting it into one of Sydney’s most versatile sporting and recreation facilities. A purpose-built rowing and canoeing venue, the SIRC is a central hub for aquatic activities, events, festivals and social gatherings.
The venue regularly hosts triathlons, cycling, open water swimming, wakeboard and fishing events as well as sailing, dragon boat, outrigger, rowing and canoeing regattas. It is one of the few venues in the world where all three triathlon legs can be held (swimming, cycling and running) without closing public roads and where you can watch each of the stages from the grandstand.
Upcoming events include the annual Head of the River, the Australian Masters Rowing and Cycling Championships, World Dragon Boat Championships, The Australian Canoe Championships, Pro Wakeboarding, the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and the World Master Games in 2009.
Why not consider the Sydney International Regatta Centre for your next sporting or corporate event?
